Awesome freshly squeezed juices for toddlers
So many times I have heard other moms how saying that their toddlers won’t eat raw vegetables at all. Well, if they don’t want to eat it, that still doesn’t mean that they won’t drink it!
How my kids had problems with eczema I was advised to increase intake of raw vegetables and to double the intake of fruits. Riiight- easier to say than done! I tried with all sorts of funny arranged salads, but what was working for us was freshly squeezed juices. We drink it almost every day, slightly longer than a year, and I’m trying to use fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables.
But here I won’t write about various recipes and healthy combinations, the internet is full of them. I am writing about why I think that the freshly squeezed juices are an extraordinary thing for everyone, especially for toddlers!
Freshly squeezed juices, raw food, and vegan
A few years ago my friend Natasha moved to South Africa, fell in love with it and changed many things in her life. Among other things, she became a vegan. She told me that for her is impossible to resist so many kinds of fresh fruit and vegetables and that she doesn’t need anything else. And I’m saying it, just to be known that I have no prejudice against vegans. On the contrary. Neither the people who eat raw food. Simply, my family is a family of carnivores.
I’m trying that meat that we used in feeding be high quality and known origin, to an extent that living in the city allows me.
I try to provide my children a healthy, varied and balanced diet.
There are many prejudices that the freshly squeezed juices are linked (exclusively) with people who do not eat meat or cooked food, which of course is complete nonsense!
Freshly squeezed juices are expensive
Well, now, whenever there is an issue of money to become a touchy subject. Yes, a glass of freshly squeezed juice is more expensive than buying a glass of fruit juice. Only, the difference in prices is not significant.
When freshly squeezed juices, it is important to drink it soon after squeezing. Your child is entirely sufficient one glass of juice a day.The biggest problem, in my opinion, is that you need time for it. Time to buy adequate fruits and vegetables, to wash it, cut it, squeeze, and then all laid up. Yes, it takes some time. But, when you once get used to it, it all goes much faster than you can imagine, and the health of your toddler is certainly worth it, right?

Freshly squeezed juice is quickly absorbed by the body and does not burden the digestive system. Also, a glass of this drink contains antibacterial and anti-inflammatory elements that are essential for normal life. Depending on which fruits and vegetables we are using, this juice is rich in the various vitamins and minerals. As numerous studies have shown that encapsulated vitamins are ineffective, one of the greatest things you can do for a toddler’s immunity is making freshly squeezed juices.

You should drink freshly squeezed juices a half hour before or two hours after a meal. In this way, the body absorbs the fastest all the vitamins and minerals. My kids begin their day with freshly squeezed fruit (and vegetables), followed by real, protein breakfast.
Some pediatricians and dentists recommend dilution the juice with water 1: 1, but I do not practice it. Instead, strong freshly squeezed juice drink through a straw, since so less damage to tooth enamel. A glass of juice vibrant colors is the extraordinary way to start the day!
